For wheelchair users, assistive technologies (AT) such as speech-generating devices (SGDs), computers, tablets, and smartphones play a vital role in communication and daily activities. This session explores effective mounting solutions to securely attach these devices to a wheelchair frame, ensuring optimal visual access, ease of use, safety, and stability. Participants will gain insight into mounting terminology, role delineation in product selection and delivery, strategies for determining ideal mount placement, ordering guidance, and funding considerations.
