Applying Trauma-informed Care to Practice for Adults

Description

Trauma-informed care is an essential tenet of modern healthcare practice. Using the basic principles of trauma-informed care is necessary to provide culturally competent and quality evidence-based healthcare, yet trauma-informed care is often presented in a theoretical manner that lacks tangible advice

This webinar provides a refresher of the underlying principles of trauma-informed care using the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration’s model alongside practical strategies for implementation. Case studies and alternative frameworks that illustrate how to utilize trauma-informed care in practice will be presented.
