Proper "bag technique" is an important part of infection control in home healthcare. During this course, learners will dive deep into infection control tactics to help prevent the spread of disease when visiting patients in their home, including how to effectively prevent contamination of the healthcare bag and other equipment and how proper bag technique helps protect patients, family members, and healthcare workers from the spread of infection.

Objectives:
1) Discuss the importance of infection control in home health through proper bag technique
2) Detail the application of proper bag technique to stop the transmission of infection

This course has been verified to align with the CHAP Hospice Standards of Excellence HIPC 4.I in Hospice Infection Prevention and Control, and the CHAP Home Health Standards of Excellence IPC.4.I.M1 in Infection Prevention & Control. It was also designed in alignment with ACHC home health standards, and it provides training to help organizations meet the following federal regulations related to hospice, and home health services:
