This course delves into possible types of services that may be provided in long-term and community-based care facilities and describes the population receiving these. It focuses on foundational elements in providing care, followed by guiding principles to support residents in reaching or maintaining optimal physical and emotional health and well-being.

This course helps meet the regulatory standards outlined in the requirements for long-term care facilities 42 CFR ?483.10, 483.20, 483.21 and 483.24.
