Violence in the workplace is an unfortunately common reality in healthcare. During this course, participants will explore the following types of workplace violence: client-on-worker, worker-on-worker, client-on-client (resident to resident), criminal intent, and domestic violence. Through practical scenarios and examples, learners will also have the opportunity to review risk factors and warning signs for violence, apply prevention and intervention strategies, and learn how to follow up in the aftermath of workplace violence.
