This short course is designed to help healthcare workers recognize, prevent, and respond to workplace violence. The featured scenarios highlight recommended de-escalation and nonphysical intervention strategies to prevent or diffuse violence, and learners have the opportunity to select from scenarios most applicable to their practice setting. The course also emphasizes the individual and organizational responsibilities and teamwork essential to the pursuit of a workplace free from violence.
