Ray VanWye
PT, DPT, PhD, Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy
Dr. Ray VanWye has been a licensed physical therapist since 2006 and has taught within an entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program since 2015. He specializes in differential diagnosis, screening for referral, and cardiopulmonary physical therapy. Dr. VanWye earned a BS (2001) and MS (2007) in exercise science from Indiana University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2006) from the University of Indianapolis. He later obtained a PhD in leadership studies (2021) from the University of the Cumberlands.
He is an ABPTS board-certified cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialist (CCS) and holds credentials as a clinical exercise physiologist (CEP) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), awarded by the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, respectively. Dr. VanWye has authored or coauthored several peer-reviewed manuscripts, scientific and professional presentations, and book chapters. He is a coeditor for the third edition of the Primary Care for the Physical Therapist textbook.
