Katy Casillas

Katy Casillas serves as the Manager of the Education, Quality, and Admin Operations (EQA) team for the Rehab Service Line for BayCare Health Systems. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida. Katy has experience in the Outpatient, Skilled Nursing, and Home Health settings, but her true passion lies in Acute Care serving Neuro-Trauma populations. As the head of the EQA department at BayCare, Katy serves as an interdisciplinary partner to the Hospital System Matrix. She designs and implements automated process improvement solutions, streamlining workflows and enhancing patient care. She builds data structure to identify and monitor key performance metrics related to patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, team member education, and operational efficiency.
