This course provides information for all staff about the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process in home health agencies. QAPI is an ongoing, collaborative and proactive approach to improving patient care and outcomes. In this course, staff will see an example QAPI process in action, learn what QAPI means and why it is important, and explore fundamental elements.

Objectives:
1) Describe what QAPI is
2) Explain why QAPI is important in home health
3) Identify core parts of QAPI in home health

This course has been verified to align with the CHAP Home Health Standards of Excellence in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). It was also designed in alignment with ACHC standards for home health, and it provides training to help organizations meet the following federal regulation related to home health services:
