This course provides an overview of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) for frontline and contracted providers, both clinical and nonclinical. Learners will explore who PACE serves, how the all-inclusive benefit works, where care is delivered, and how the PACE organizational structure works to support safe aging in place. Through real-world scenarios, learners will discover how PACE fits within the broader care ecosystem and how they are expected to communicate, document, and report concerns to keep participants safe and supported in the community.

Course Objectives
1. Describe the purpose of PACE and identify who is eligible to enroll (age, level of care, service area, community living)
2. Explain the organization’s mission, philosophy, and core values and how they support aging in place
3. Summarize the key components of the PACE benefit
4. Identify the basic organizational structure of PACE
5. Differentiate between services delivered at the PACE center, in the home, and via contracted providers

This training aligns with federal PACE requirements under 42 CFR Part 460, including the staff training requirement at 42 CFR §460.66, which requires PACE organizations to provide ongoing training that maintains and improves the skills and knowledge of all employees and contracted staff involved in participant care.
