Drew Contreras

Drew Contreras serves as the American Physical Therapy Association’s lead staff for clinical integration, engagement, and support under its Scientific Affairs Unit. He also leads on matters regarding clinical innovation and emerging practice patterns and provides insight and value to organizational priorities with a focus on clinical content strategy for APTA.

Contreras' career as a physical therapist spans more than 25 years. He has an extensive background in the U.S. Army and has received numerous military honors and awards for his exemplary service. He has served on a variety of professional boards, most recently holding the position of vice president of the Federal Physical Therapy Section of APTA.

Contreras is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy.
