Chapters & learning objectives
1. Ankle and Toe Sprains and Strains
In this course, each chapter will identify groupings of particular diagnoses of the foot and ankle. The first chapter covers ankle and toe sprains. Participants will learn how to identify and apply appropriate rehabilitation techniques for ankle and toe sprains.
2. Ankle and Foot Fractures
Chapter 2 identifies common fractures that occur in the ankle and foot. Participants will learn appropriate management and rehabilitation techniques for ankle and foot fractures.
3. Apophysitis
In this chapter, participants will review the mechanism of injury, as well as signs and symptoms, for Iselin’s Disease and Sever’s Disease. They will identify management and treatment techniques of apophysitis, as well as examine clinical cases of Sever’s disease.
4. Tendinopathy
Dr. Piskulic discusses common tendinopathies and fasciitis of the foot and ankle. Participants will learn mechanisms of injury and how to recognize signs and symptoms. They will review treatment and management of techniques of tendinopathy and fasciitis.
5. Ankle Impingement
This chapter will teach the participant to identify and diagnose posterior and anterior impingement. They will learn to apply treatment and management techniques of ankle impingement.
6. Rehabilitation Progression
The final chapter of this course reviews the progression of the patient’s rehabilitation in regards to return to sports testing as well as injury prevention.
