Sara Ware
MA, CCC-SLP, ATP
Sara is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has several years of experience supporting AAC users of all ages. Sara graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and holds an additional certificate in Augmentative and Alternative Communication from Stockton University. Sara is also a RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional. Sara currently assumes the role of Lead Therapist in a private outpatient clinic. She also provides AAC consultation and therapy services to early intervention programs across the state of Virginia. Sara is passionate about AAC outreach and has presented on various topics related to AAC at both the state and national levels. Sara has been a featured guest on the following podcasts: SLP Happy Hour Podcast, Take AACtion Podcast and AAC: Real-Life Edition Podcast. She has written guest posts for the popular blog PrAACtical AAC and is a co-developer of the Pediatric Prelinguistic and Linguistic Skill Assessment for AAC Users. Sara and her colleagues are proud recipients of a 2024 ASHFoundation Researcher-Practitioner Collaboration grant for their work titled Research, Education, Advocacy, Coaching, Human Connection (REACH) Clinician2Clinician Mentoring Program for AAC Service Provision.
