  • Appraise the intersection of chronic health conditions and nutritional status to determine their combined impact on the aging client
  • Interpret the role of nutrition in mitigating clinical complications—such as systemic inflammation and sarcopenia—that impede therapy progression
  • Evaluate how specific pathological states, including malignancy and surgical trauma, alter metabolic demands and muscle physiology in older adults
  • Prioritize supportive nutrition interventions for chronic illnesses based on the client’s specific metabolic and functional requirements
