Are you ready to transform workplace health and performance? Join us for an engaging webinar that dives into practical strategies for designing and implementing effective industrial athlete programs. Learn how to “get a GRIP”—gather task and risk data, recognize early warning signs, implement prevention strategies, and provide education and support. We will explore creative ways to overcome common barriers, such as shift work, production pressures, and employee skepticism, while delivering impactful interventions in short, informal encounters. Through real-world case examples and actionable tools, you will gain the confidence to collaborate across disciplines and create programs that truly make a difference. Whether you are a PT, OT, or ATC, this session will equip you with the knowledge and strategies to keep your workforce strong, healthy, and engaged.
Learning Objectives
- Construct an industrial athlete program tailored to the unique demands of high-paced, industrial environments

Chapters & learning objectives
1. Introduction
GRIP is an acronym that stands for Gather, Recognize, Implement, and Provide, and it will serve as a framework to deliver the majority of this course content. In this intro section, we will review the roles and differentiators between injury prevention programs and injury management programs.
2. Gather: Understanding the Landscape
Review the important elements of the Gather step in building an industrial athlete program, including job analysis, work risk assessments, and building alliances through effective relationship development.
3. Recognize Risk Early Warning Signs
Organize and categorize risk levels, symptom review, and assessments to identify those workers who would benefit from first aid strategies versus those who need extensive medical follow-up.
4. Implement Prevention Strategies: Drive Culture of Safety
Correlate data acquired during the Gather and Recognize steps to produce a variety of prevention strategies. Review OSHA-compliant first aid strategies. Identify ways to engage workers in the process of driving a culture of safety. Practice the difference between dynamic and counterbalance exercises and stretches.
5. Provide Education and Support
Calculate an ROI using various metrics and data stats that can correlate with safety KPIs to help justify the continuity of a program through delivering strong outcomes. Educate, communicate, and offer support to stakeholders to help expand a program.
6. Question and Answer Session
In this chapter, Neetu Trivedi will answer the questions asked during the webinar.
