Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants and students of each should comply with ethics and professional responsibility governing the practice of physical therapy. In some states this becomes more than aspirational conduct and has actually been codified as part of the State's Practice Act, hence making compliance mandatory. Accordingly, this course is designed to provide an overview of physical therapy ethics and professional responsibility. Every practicing physical therapist, physical therapist assistant and student of each must be knowledgeable of ethics and professional responsibility and act in compliance. Ignorance of the conduct considered to be ethical and professionally responsible will never be an excuse for failure to comply.
