Physical therapists need to recognize BPPV based on history taking. Key questions and responses that suggest that the person has BPPV will be covered plus facts related to the prevalence of BPPV across age with its typical presentation outlined for the learner.
2. Typical and Atypical Presentations of Posterior Canal BPPV
Physical therapists need to recognize the typical and atypical presentations of posterior canal BPPV and be able to differentiate PC-BPPV from central findings. Differential diagnosis in the examination of the BPPV will be emphasized with interpretation of the findings discussed related to the management of the patient's health condition.
