Emi Ito

Emi Ito is a certified hand therapist with expertise in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and ergonomics. She earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California and began her career in acute care before completing a hand therapy fellowship in Houston.

Emi achieved certification as a hand therapist (CHT) in 2018. She is also a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) and a certified ergonomics assessment specialist (CEAS), allowing her to integrate holistic and preventive strategies into treatment.

In addition to her clinical practice, Emi is adjunct faculty at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and has presented at the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) Annual Meeting. She is passionate about empowering patients to understand their conditions and equipping therapists with evidence-based, practical skills for upper extremity rehabilitation.
