Hadas Ofek
PT, MSc, PhD
Hadas Ofek (PhD, University of Haifa, 2018; MSc, BPT, Tel Aviv University) is a neurophysiotherapist with years of clinical expertise, having led stroke, SCI, and TBI units as head PT at Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center. She is a lecturer at Zefat Academic College’s physiotherapy department, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels and leading the sensory rehabilitation lab. Her research focuses on sensory rehabilitation in both CNS lesions (stroke, traumatic brain injury, and central neuropathic pain) and PNS diagnoses (chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and diabetic neuropathy).
The sensory rehabilitation lab has developed assessment tools (texture discrimination and position sense for the lower extremity) and is now actively developing innovative toolkits for sensory retraining, including specialized kits for both in-clinic therapeutic interventions and at-home exercise programs, advancing accessibility and continuity of care in sensory rehabilitation.
Dr. Ofek maintains an active clinical practice and teaches postgraduate sensory rehabilitation courses for PT and OT clinicians.
