Heather M. Scheer
MS, CCC-SLP
Heather Scheer is a Washington state-licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist with more than 30 years of experience supporting children and adolescents with a wide range of communication needs. She began her career in local school districts while developing her private practice, then transitioned to full-time private practice in 2004. Her caseload includes toddlers through high school students with diverse communication challenges, and she values individualized intervention that helps each client reach their communication potential.
Heather served as president of the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSPA) from May 2024 to May 2026. In that role, she represented AAPPSPA in a co-applicant group advocating for private-practice speech-language pathologists within the American Medical Association code change process.
Outside of her professional work, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and two adult daughters. She loves gardening, traveling, and staying engaged with her community through her investment and book clubs.
