Jacque Sample
DrOT, M.Ed., OTR/L, FAOTA
Dr. Jacque Sample is an occupational therapist, educator, and public servant based in Columbia, Missouri. With more than 25 years of experience in pediatric, school-based practice, and higher education, she brings deep expertise in supporting students with disabilities across educational settings. Dr. Sample holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree, a Master's of Special Education, and a Bachelor's of Health Sciences, and has served in multiple academic leadership roles, teaching in both hybrid and in-person occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant programs.
She is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association and a former president of the Missouri Occupational Therapy Association, where she has led statewide advocacy efforts to advance practice, equity, and access to services. Dr. Sample also serves as the Ward 3 City Council member, bringing a unique policy perspective to issues impacting education, healthcare, and community systems.
Her work sits at the intersection of occupational therapy, public policy, and educational access, with a strong focus on how systemic changes—such as potential shifts in federal education oversight—affect students with disabilities and the professionals who support them.
