Sarah Adam

Sarah Adam made history in the challenging sport known as murderball as the first woman on Team USA’s wheelchair rugby team at the Paralympics. She recently secured her first Paralympic silver medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. At the 2023 Parapan American Games, the team claimed gold, securing Team USA’s spot at the 2024 Paralympic Games. Her
pivotal role extended to the 2022 Wheelchair Rugby World Championship, where she contributed to her team’s silver medal win.
Besides her athletic feats, Sarah is a doctor and professor of occupational therapy at Saint Louis University. Her journey in wheelchair rugby began in 2013 as a volunteer, evolving into a passion after a 2016 multiple sclerosis diagnosis during her graduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
