Thomas Morgenthaler

Thomas Morgenthaler is an occupational therapist from Austria with eight years of clinical work experience. He has recently defended his doctoral work, which was based on outdoor play occupation on play spaces, at University College Cork, Ireland, and Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland. In his doctoral work, he developed tools to analyze environmental characteristics associated with the concepts of play value and usability. In addition to his doctoral work, he is active in supporting the area of practice of school-based occupational therapy in the Austrian context, where he co-leads project groups, regularly teaches on the topic, and hosts a community of practice.
