Description

*This webinar is scheduled for 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT

Coregulation and self-regulation are frequently discussed across healthcare and education, yet the distinction between the two strategies and how to effectively support each is often abstract or misunderstood. This webinar explores coregulation through the lens of interoception, the sensory system that helps us notice and interpret internal body signals that influence regulation, participation, and well-being.

For many individuals, including neurodivergent people and those with trauma histories, internal body signals may feel difficult to notice, interpret, or trust. Coregulation provides an important foundation for helping people experience felt safety, build body awareness, and develop regulation skills over time.

Participants will examine current research on coregulation, self-regulation, and interoception while exploring how caregiver, educator, and clinician responses can influence regulation and participation. Practical, affirming strategies will be shared that move beyond managing behavior and instead foster bodily connection and meaningful participation across clinical, educational, and community settings.
