This course, with Edie Hapner, outlines evidence-based interventions for persons experiencing presbyphonia. The course begins by providing an overview of a treatment modality framework that includes both non-invasive and more invasive measures that the allied health team can employ. Special attention is given to translating evaluation data into the most effective intervention for each individual case. Intervention approaches including vocal exercise approaches, and exuberant therapies such as LSVT and PhoRTE will be described and demonstrated via videos of patients.

1. Introduction to Therapy
The first chapter of this course will outline key considerations for voice therapy for the aging voice, including principles of overload, reversibility and maintenance, and evidence-based practice.
2. Exuberant Therapy Approaches
The second chapter of this course details exuberant approaches to therapy, and describes their effectiveness based on the research literature.
3. Vocal Function Exercises
This chapter will provide a framework for using vocal exercise as an intervention for presbyphonia, including the concepts steps needed in applying vocal function exercise.
4. Additional Exercise Approaches and Emerging Techniques
The final instructional chapter of this course will describe additional exercises and approaches that have gained attention in the research literature, and describe new devices and approaches that are being evaluated.
5. Discussion Segments
Edie Hapner discusses issues in presbyphonia evaluation and treatment with a practicing SLP, and the co-developer of the PhoRTE exuberant therapy approach, Dr. Aaron Ziegler.
