Elise Bloch

Elise served on the faculty of NSU for 9 years and at FIU for 25 years and has worked as a pediatric OT in numerous settings. She has presented at national and international conferences on patient- and family-centered care and health professional education. In her previous position at FIU, she was a founding member of the College of Medicine—College of Nursing & Health Sciences IPE Committee. In this capacity, she assisted in the development and presentation of their annual IPE workshop for more than 500 medical and allied health students. Elise served as chair of the Patient and Family Advisory Council at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital for 4 years. In that role, she developed and presented educational programs on PFEC to employees, medical students, and nursing residents. She is currently leading the efforts to develop a parent mentor program at the hospital.
