Therese E. Johnston

PT, PhD, MBA, FAPTA

Therese E. Johnston is a professor of physical therapy at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Her neurological research focuses on interventions for individuals with spinal cord injury, with a special emphasis on functional electrical stimulation and cardiovascular and bone health. She has authored over sixty articles in peer-reviewed journals and is the EDGE task force chair in the Academy of Physical Therapy Research. Before working at Arcadia University, she held academic and research positions at Thomas Jefferson University, the University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph’s University), and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
