Solutions target risk factors to reduce worker injuries, which are responsible for $225.8 billion in lost productivity annually

Bellevue, Wash. – March 3, 2026Medbridge, a leader in digital care solutions for healthcare professionals, today introduces a new Occupational Health Pathway to address the most significant causes of work-related musculoskeletal (MSK) issues. MSK disorders from repetitive motion injuries account for approximately 28% of all serious work injuries, and approximately 35% of these injuries happen to employees within their first year on the job. This hybrid care offering is now available in Medbridge Pathways, which is part of the Medbridge One Care platform.

Unlike other workforce solutions, which are often limited to on-site support and typically applied only after a worker has been injured, Medbridge delivers preventive and early intervention hybrid solutions that enable advanced primary care, health systems, and private practices to more proactively and effectively keep employees safe at work instead of optimizing care for recovery post-injury.

"Industrial workers face unique health risks that standard wellness programs simply don't address: repetitive stress, shift work challenges, and physically demanding roles that take a real toll,” said Krystol Hines, a physical therapist and ergonomics expert who uses Medbridge to support workers and serves on Medbridge’s clinical advisory board. "The goal is simple: equip workers with knowledge to protect themselves from injury, make better health choices early, and maintain quality of life so work enhances rather than limits what they can do beyond the job."

Medbridge’s offerings can be used either live or virtually, and can be deployed through advanced primary care, health systems, and private practice resources, delivering a variety of options to both employees and employers. Medbridge is initially providing three tracks for industrial athletes, with each focused on the unique needs of high-risk workers who most commonly experience repetitive motions and physically demanding tasks. These tracks will focus on production and material handlers, mechanical and facility maintenance workers, and driver and equipment operators.

“Millions of workers are injured on the job every year, affecting their ability to work and enjoy their lives,” said Donovan Campbell, CEO of Medbridge. “By delivering more engaging, clinically effective, and accessible preventive care, we are addressing the needs of the modern industrial athlete. This not only supports the quality of life for individuals, but also translates directly into measurable outcomes: reduced claims, lower costs, and a healthier, more engaged workforce.”

The occupational health solutions build on Medbridge’s proven track record. According to internal Medbridge data, 43% of patients assigned to a Medbridge digital care program log in within the first two hours, and 58% engage within the first two days. Additionally, 86% of Medbridge Pathways program patients report satisfaction with their experience, and 70% report a reduction in pain within 30 days.
