Improving quality of care and effectiveness of treatments requires optimal utilization of the most appropriate standardized outcome measures. Extensive research now provides a clear guide to assist therapists in choosing the best measure based on each patient's individual presentation. This course will highlight the rationales for different measures as well as the key aspects for performing them accurately for therapists to easily integrate into everyday practice. Increasing the automaticity and efficiency of performing these tests is critical to demonstrating change over time, clearly communicating with third-party payers, and lowering health care costs.

J.J. Mowder-Tinney received her BS in psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder and her MS in physical therapy from the University of Miami in Florida.
