Reflex Integration: Providing Occupation-Based Interventions
Presented by Aimee Piller
Nonfinancial: Aimee Piller is a volunteer for the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Chapters & learning objectives
1. Understanding Primitive Reflexes
This chapter will review primitive reflexes from a developmental standpoint, focusing on those correlating with learning and developmental difficulties. The content will provide a specific focus on how reflexes impact participation in occupations.
2. Developing an Occupation-Based Intervention Plan for Reflex Integration
This chapter will provide information on how to address each of the common primitive and postural reflexes using occupation-based interventions. Participants will learn how to develop their own intervention plan and explore how to implement interventions within the context of occupation.
3. Assessing Effectiveness of Intervention
This chapter will provide participants with methods to assess the effectiveness of provided interventions and modify intervention plans as a result. Further information will be provided to equip participants to assess effectiveness of interventions within the context of occupation.
