Erin Vigne
RN, MA
Erin Vigne, RN, MA, is a registered nurse, gerontologist, and certified health coach who has worked as an intervention nurse and research coordinator for the University of Maryland School of Nursing since 2011. As an intervention nurse working on a variety NIH-funded studies, she has worked in nursing homes and assisted living communities across Maryland. She has taught all levels of staff, as well as residents and their loved ones, about strategies to help older adults remain as functional and independent as possible and manage the challenging behaviors that often accompany dementia. Erin also writes weekly “email tidbits” for hundreds of study participants, which provide practical strategies and motivational tips to help participants achieve their goals. She enjoys health education, as well as public speaking on health and aging issues, and she loves spending time with older adults.
