Shannon Possardt

Shannon Possardt, an Illinois native, is a physical therapist with a strong focus on neurorehabilitation. After earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Emory University, she completed a neurologic residency at the University of Washington and EvergreenHealth. Her interest in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) was sparked by a pivotal lecture at the 2017 Combined Sections Meeting in New Orleans. During her residency, Dr. Possardt educated healthcare professionals on FND and developed a dedicated outpatient care pathway for these patients. She also contributed to educational efforts through the University of Washington’s DPT program and the APTA Washington Student SIG. Now practicing primarily in outpatient neurology, Dr. Possardt focuses on movement disorders, degenerative diseases, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. She is currently expanding her expertise in advanced technologies like transcutaneous and epidural spinal cord stimulation. Her work reflects a deep commitment to improving care and outcomes for individuals with complex neurological conditions.
