Patients who are undergoing treatment for GI and colorectal cancers have a variety of unique symptoms and side effects from their cancer treatment. Some of these issues tend to be general musculoskeletal issues, and others are more focused toward pelvic floor disorders. In this course, both types of issues will be discussed to give practitioners ways to treat this population. Referrals to other disciplines will also be discussed in the context of providing full patient care. While this course will focus on musculoskeletal side effects, speech and occupational therapy issues will also be discussed in the larger context of treatment planning. Participants will leave the course with a comprehensive treatment plan for this patient population.
