Unusual patient occurrences are medical errors, patient falls, accidents and unexpected outcomes to standard procedures. This course will discuss the types of events that should be reported to your organization for safety improvement purposes. Learners will explore what information needs to be captured about the incident and what that information will be used for. This course will also disambiguate the various terms for unusual patient occurrences used by regulatory bodies.
