This course will address the importance of communication about end-of-life topics when family members have a loved one who is dying and effective strategies for meaningful communication with patients and families. It will also outline strategies for communication challenges, whether patients and families have communication disabilities or speak another language.

This course helps meet regulatory standards outlined in the federal requirements for hospice care 42 CFR ?418 as well as state standards.
