1. What Can Be Learned From the 7-12 Month Old?
This is a time of major changes in the baby’s skills. Chapter 1 takes a close look at not only functional gains of the 7 to 12-month-old, but also the underlying components that support developmental changes. Photos of babies progressing through development are presented in order to clearly demonstrate these changes and why they are important to further development.
2. Quadruped, Creeping & Transitions 7-12 Months: Comparison of Babies & Treatment Strategies
The baby is on the move! Chapter 2 presents photos of typically developing babies as well as babies with developmental delays from a variety of diagnoses. An analysis of these children is discussed along with strategies to encourage further development of function and critical components in quadruped, creeping on hands & knees, & transitional movements, and why these activities are so beneficial to so many developmental changes.
3. Standing & Walking 7-12 Months: Comparison of Babies & Treatment Strategies
Chapter 3 presents photos of typically developing babies as well as babies with developmental delays from a variety of diagnoses as they move up against gravity. An analysis of these children is discussed along with strategies to encourage further development of function and critical components in standing & walking, as well as the pre-requisites, for these higher level skills.
