This course is a collection of three cases involving the cervical spine presented in "rounds" style, where a resident presents the case to faculty for discussion. The cases will review differential diagnosis, examination, intervention, and prognosis for patients with various presentations of neck pain. Test items and small lectures are interspersed to help integrate concepts and highlight key content.

1. Upper Cranio-Cervical Red Flag Screening

This case reviews the examination of a 65-year-old female with neck pain, vertigo, and a diagnosis of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

2. Neck and Arm Pain

In this case, we will examine a 41-year-old male cyclist with neck and arm pain who was referred to physical therapy. The differentiation of neck and arm pain is reviewed.

3. Non-Specific Neck Pain

This course will review the case of a 35-year-old male who presented to a physical therapy clinic with complaints of neck and right shoulder pain without a clear diagnosis.
