Pressure injuries are a huge problem in healthcare, affecting millions of people in the United States each year. Fortunately, pressure injuries can often be prevented through awareness and appropriate care. Throughout this course, learners will explore what pressure injuries are, how they are characterized and how they form. Additionally, learners will identify areas at risk for developing pressure ulcers, as well as risk factors and interventions to prevent them from developing.
