This course discusses federal laws as well as state regulations for Illinois and New York related to sexual harassment prevention. It defines sexual harassment and give examples of it, covers applicable laws and reporting avenues, and discusses supervisor responsibilities and retaliation as well as ways to create a respectful culture.

This course is designed to meet the training and education requirements for sexual harassment in the workplace as outlined by the recently amended Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5) and the New York State Human Rights Law in addition to the Illinois Whistleblower Act (740 ILCS 174) and Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act. MedBridge also has separate courses that fulfill the training and education requirements for California employees and supervisors on sexual harassment prevention.

Licensed healthcare professionals in Illinois will need to take the CEU version for credit hours to maintain or renew their license. This compliance version is unaccredited for unlicensed staff in Illinois.
