According to Medicare, volunteers are considered unpaid employees and require the same background screening, onboarding process, and ongoing education. This course will examine ways to onboard, train, and retain this valuable resource to produce a vibrant volunteer program. Through the development of appropriate and formalized methods for screening, education, communication, and engagement, the volunteer coordinator can establish a successful program and personal career.
