Lindy Weaver

PhD, MOT, OTR/L

Lindy L. Weaver, PhD, MOT, OTR\L is an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University. She has 9 years of experience as an occupational therapist working in developmental pediatrics and mental health across inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings. She has presented at state, national, and school-based conferences on: autism, pediatric and adolescent mental health, collaborative care, and anxiety. She has six peer-reviewed journal articles in pediatrics and teaches school age and adolescent occupational therapy and mental health courses at OSU. Her areas of interest include community resources and occupational therapy interventions that promote occupational justice and positive mental health development among children and adolescents. Her clinical and research endeavors are focused on improving and providing evidence based care that maximizes protective factors and facilitates personal growth among underserved or stigmatized youth.

The course is suitable for any occupational therapy practitioner who possesses a basic working knowledge of ASD and the content is applicable across all practice settings that involve persons with ASD. It is recommended that learners complete the Basic Concepts and Diagnoses course prior to viewing this course.
