Self-regulation, sensory integration, executive functioning, emotional regulation - what does it all mean? This course will help to demystify this terminology. We simplify the complicated neurological anatomy to provide a connection to function. Neurological dysfunction is later addressed as it relates to the diagnoses of ADHD, Sensory Processing, and Autism. Finally the course reviews both traditional and innovative intervention approaches and their connection to neuroplasticity.

1. Introduction
This chapter provides an overview on neuroanatomy within the context of self-regulation in children.
2. Recognizing Dysfunction
This chapter reviews the various patterns of sensory processing disorder. The review relates to typical patterns revealed in diagnoses such as ADHD and Autism. Direct correlations are made to the neuroanatomy review from chapter 1. The chapter ends with a discussion on neuroplasticity to begin investigating intervention.
3. Current Treatment and Interventions
This chapter reviews current treatment interventions both traditional and innovative approaches. Techniques are aligned with neurological approaches earlier discussed in chapter 1. The chapter emphasizes neuroplasticity through review of treatment case studies and video.
