1. What Are Holistic Admissions and Holistic Review?
This chapter will present a brief overview of holistic admissions and holistic review. Then, it will go into why healthcare professionals in the workforce should be aware of this growing trend.
2. Why Do Clinicians Need to Know This?
Clinicians need to be aware of how their behaviors can impact the learning experiences of students completing clinical rotations at their workplaces. This chapter includes two case studies for participants to reflect on how their workplace behaviors can impact students’ learning experiences.
3. Action Items
This chapter summarizes action items from the previous two chapters. This section is a starting guide for helping clinicians to better support students from diverse backgrounds.
