President of Catholic Health Home Care and Good Shepherd Hospice
Kim Kranz serves as the President of Catholic Health Home Care and Good Shepherd Hospice since June 2019. Her responsibilities include clinical, quality, and fiscal leadership for a daily census of a 3,000 patient-certified home health agency and a 450 patient-certified hospice …
program. The Good Shepherd Hospice includes two acute inpatient units and a Palliative Care program serving four acute-care hospitals with a community-based program. The programs include 1000 employees across Long Island and Queens, New York.
Before assuming this role, Ms. Kranz has over 25 years of experience in Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care. She served as the Sr. Vice President of Operations for the Home Nursing Agency. She was responsible for Home Health, Hospice, Adult Day, Bereavement, Licensed Home Care, and Palliative Care services across a 17-county region in Pennsylvania. Recent experience includes her role as Sr. Vice President of Hospice and Palliative Care for Celtic Healthcare and the Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In these roles, she demonstrated success in new program development, growing program census, improving quality outcomes, and implementing an EMR optimization program.
Additional accomplishments include the development of an inpatient and community-based palliative care consultation service, attaining Home Care Elite status annually, expanding remote-telehealth monitoring services, and implementing Advanced Illness Service, a provider of home-based palliative care services. Ms. Kranz has also worked as an adjunct nursing instructor at Pennsylvania State University and provided consultative services for Fazzi Associates, a nationally recognized home health and hospice consulting firm.
Ms. Kranz has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Syracuse University, receiving the Dean's Award. She has a Master's Degree in Community Health and Administration from Pace University, New York. She is a certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator and previously served as a member of the Government Affairs Committee for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

Finally, Tonya believes in community engagement and is an active community volunteer. She serves on several boards, including Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Cumberland County Commission for Women, and PA Vent Camp, a camp for ventilator-dependent children, for which she also serves as the executive director.
