Pam Kikillus
PT, DHSc, OCS, CHT, FAAOMPT
Pam Kikillus received her entry-level physical therapy degree and a Doctor of Health Science degree from the University of Indianapolis. She is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist, a certified hand therapist, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
She practices physical therapy and provides clinical mentorship at Olympic Sport and Spine in the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. She teaches at Green River College and is an adjunct instructor at the University of Puget Sound. She is a faculty member with Aspire Orthopedic Manual Therapy Institute. She has also presented courses for the American Society of Hand Therapists and presented courses at both the state and national level. She has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
She has done extensive work on the development of the orthopedic specialist certification exam as well as the National Physical Therapy Examination.
She strives to promote excellence in the practice of physical therapy in order to best serve the needs of patients.

Neurological Scan as Part of the Orthopedic Examination
Clinicians regularly perform some type of neurological scan as part of an orthopedic examination. This is one of the basics that need to be done well. There is a great deal of variation in scanning techniques and documentation of results. This course will examine the main portions of the neurological scan as part of a typical orthopedic examination. The course will discuss meaningful results and documentation of those results. Examples will be provided to predict the level/location of nerve root involvement based on the results of the neurological scan.

Neuromuscular Electrical Nerve Stimulation
This course will review the application and parameters for the successful use of neuromuscular electrical nerve stimulation in the clinical setting. Highlights will include avoiding typical pitfalls in the application of NMES. Troubleshooting will include electrode selection and placement, number of channels, pulse width and rate, and the duty cycle. Examples will be demonstrated of applications and successful troubleshooting during these applications. The applicable audience includes PTs, PTAs, OT, COTAs, and ATCs.
